The tournament will feature a unique gaming format that has male and female poker players play separately until only five male and five female players remain in contention. The players will then be combined to a final table of ten. Whoever takes down the poker event will win bragging rights not only for themselves but their entire gender.
The tournament will feature a $100 buy-in with $20 re-buys and an optional $50 add-on at the end of three rounds. Before the Battle of the Sexes tournament, the HHPT will be hosting a $200 No-Limit Hold'em event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on October 2nd, 2009 as part of its Fall Classic Poker Series.
The High Heels Poker Tour will also be hosting two more poker events in Florida before the end of the year. The HHPT was founded by Lauren Failla in 2007 with the goal of empowering female poker players to become champions in the poker circuit.
